Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) Helps Strengthen Local Hospitality Work Force with Interactive Web Site for Hospitality Training Institute
PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands – September 7, 2007 – The Turks & Caicos Hotel Association (TCHTA) has underwritten the development of a new, comprehensive web site showcasing the Turks and Caicos Hotel, Tourism and Training Institute (TCHTTI), the island’s only dedicated educational facility for the hospitality industry.  The web site, located at www.tchtti.com, provides information, requirements and application forms for the complete range of training courses available from the TCHTTI.
TCHTTI Web Site

The TCHTTI offers a variety of full- and part time courses and degree programs for both recent graduates as well as experienced professionals who want to advance their careers in the hospitality industry. It has proven to be a valuable resource for local businesses in the tourism industry, providing advanced training on critical skills as well as a pool of trained workers ready to deliver essential services to the local economy.

“We have strong connection and history with the TCHTTI and consider it an important investment for our association. The students represent the future of our industry here in the Turks and Caicos and we are committed to keeping our training and development on the leading edge as we compete in the global tourism business,” said Butch Clare, president of the TCHTA.

“We appreciate the support the members and executives of the TCHTA have consistently demonstrated for the TCHTTI.  It is a great partnership that is mutually beneficial. This new web site will allow us to expand the promotion of the Institute on a global basis, and provide up to date and comprehensive information to our students. We look forward to continued collaboration with the TCHTA to meet their needs from an employment and training perspective,” said Norma Goodridge, president of the TCHTTI.

Through the web site, current and prospective students can browse the entire TCHTTI curriculum and understand the scope, time frame and requirements for both full- and part-time participation at the school. Faculty members are profiled and downloadable application forms are also available on the site. The site was developed by local web design firm Wired Island, Ltd.
