Condé Nast Traveler, Forbes and Island Destinations Recognize The Grace Bay Club and Parrot Cay Among Top Resorts in the World

PROVIDENCIALES, Turks & Caicos Islands - November 30, 2006 - The world is taking notice of the resorts in the Turks and Caicos. Two members of the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) have received worldwide recognition from leading international publications. Condé Nast Traveler, Forbes and Island Destinations have all recently honored Turks and Caicos as well as The Grace Bay Club and Parrot Cay.

The Condé Nast Traveler Reader's Choice Awards for 2006 lists the top resorts in the world and has named Parrot Cay and the Grace Bay Club the third and fourth best resorts in the Caribbean/Atlantic region. The Reader's Choice Awards also list top islands broken down by region and Turks and Caicos was ranked ninth.

Island Destinations named Grace Bay Club "Best Resort of the Year" in its Travel Agents Choice Awards. This distinction is significant for the unbranded property in Turks and Caicos, as it beat the Four Seasons, Sandy Lane, and Raffles Cancun for the title. In addition to travel awards, the resorts in Turks and Caicos are being acknowledged by mainstream business publications such as Forbes Magazine, which lists the Grace Bay Club & Parrot Cay among top hotels in the world in its annual listing.

"Whenever a member of the TCHTA is recognized it reflects on the destination as a whole and makes us all proud," said Mr. Butch Clare, chairman of the board of the TCHTA. "These latest awards add to a long list of achievements for both of these properties and Turks & Caicos, raising the standards for all of us and the quality of experience for our visitors."

About the Condé Nast Traveler Awards
Every year since 1988, a select sample of Condé Nast Traveler readers have taken the Readers' Choice Survey. This year's results were based on responses from 27,957 readers. Of the 185 properties listed in the best resort listing, none dipped below a rating of 75. The resorts are judged on activities, facilities, dining, location, overall design, rooms and service. Parrot Cay had an overall score of 85.9 and The Grace Bay Club scored 85.6. A full list of the awards can be seen at http://www.concierge.com/.
